Microneedling is a treatment that uses small needles to prick into the skin surface to generate new skin tissue for smoother, firmer and more toned skin. There are several types of microneedling:

  • Cosmetic microneedling: the penetration of the microneedles is very superficial (0.2 0.2-0.3 mm) and only affects the superficial layers of the epidermis

  • Medical microneedling: penetration goes deeper (0.5 and up to 3 mm) and can affect both epidermis and dermis
